Along wired up and with the two "E" stings attached the neck is alinged. Pickups were fitted as per Fender specs, reverse wound at the bridge and normal wound at the neck. Once plugged into the amp the neck pickup is pretty loud, whereas the bridge pickup is weak. Fender did however create their own pickups for the Mustang - they weren't just old Strat leftovers.
